Niels Brimnes, professor at Aarhus University in Denmark, is an expert on Danish colonies in India. His interest in India began when he first visited Tranquebar on a trip to India’s east coast, when he was young and since then, he has written various books on the subject and continues to give lectures about India and Danish colonial history. Recently his interest has been on health care, and in particular Danish Dr. Mahler and his impact on the health care movement in India.
