Red Lama on short tour in India

Red Lama Event

The Danish psych scene has flourished in recent years and one of the newest additions to the genre is the band Red Lama. With heavy riffs, synthesizers and thunderous drums the seven-piece rock band arrived in India with a bang!

Red Lama has been in high rotation on the Danish national radio channel ‘P6 Beat’ with the singles ‘Post Optimism’ and ‘Fular’. They have released two full length records with the latest EP ‘Dogma’. The group has been playing concerts all over the northern Europe, so coming to India to play concerts was a new experience for the band.

Red Lama was invited by the Kashiyatra in Varanasi at Banaras Hindu University to play a concert on the 18th of January. In extension of this, Danish Cultural institute India had the pleasure to welcome and help organizing two concerts in Delhi. The band played at Social Offline in Hauz Khas Village on the 16th of January and at The Piano Man Jazz Club on the17th. The local audiences really welcomed the band with warmth and enthusiasm. Red Lama enjoyed their time on the Indian stages, and it seems like this will not be the last time we get to experience their banging vibes in India. As a country and culture, India has been a great inspiration to the members of the band, and while being in India, they worked on new tunes we all can look forward to hearing.
