Who we are
The Danish Cultural Institute India was inaugurated in New Delhi by Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen on the 19th. of January 2019.
Danish Cultural Institute is a self-governing institution. Since 1940 we have created a mutual understanding between people and cultures.
Our activities and projects push boundaries and create opportunities for intercultural relations and sustainable growth and development.
Our 7 Danish Cultural Institutes abroad are the focal points for the creation of long term cultural relations, that contribute to inspire Danish arts and culture, and strengthen the mutual learning process, that can challenge and inspire cultural life at home as well as abroad.
At the moment we have branches in Denmark, Brazil, China, India, Latvia, Poland and Russia. In 2020 we have activities in 14 countries, including pop up events in Ukraine, Belarus and Turkey.
